A Good Start For Beginners

Hey guys and gals I’m happy to announce this is my second lesson!
Just like the first lesson this is strictly for beginners.
In this lesson we will - Learn about chords
How to identify them in tab form

Now that your fingers are nice and warm let’s start out with some chords"NOTE"

There are give or take 1800+ different chords you can play on guitar and you might have heard about Major and minor, but like i said we're beginners so I’m just going to do 7 basic chords they are:
A, B, C, D, E, F AND G (also known as A Major B Major and so on)
In my previous lesson we learned that on the "tab" when the notes (numbers) are separated you play them each individually, but with chords there's a slight change
Example
Gmaj (G Major)

Now you see all the notes (numbers) are aligned this means you strum them all together starting from your "low E" (the thickest string) all the way down to your "high E".A thing I noticed with beginners is that they struggle with finger placements when it comes to chords, so what I am going to do is with each chord I'll just use "I, M, R, P" to indicate which finger goes where.
So,
I = Index finger
M = Middle finger
R = Ring Finger
P = Pinky

"NOTE"Okay, so you must be thinking "DUDE!?!?!?" 2 index fingers?!?!?!? Don’t worry I thought the same but this is what you do. You place your Index finger over all the strings in the second fret.(put your thumb exactly at the same spot on the back of the neck where your index finger is so you can press all the strings down nice and firm) Then just place your other fingers as indicated

So those are the 7 chords EVERY beginner should know and like I said those are only few of much more chords, but these are in my opinion the fundamentals of getting started you should try and memorize them in the best way possible so that you can run through them without having to look at the fret board (guitar neck). When strumming mix it up don't just downstum or up try making your own patterns, I'll go more into that in my next lesson
